Adam al-Sirgany

Adam al-Sirgany is an Arab-American novelist, essayist, poet, short story writer, busker, and skoolie vagabond, born and raised in the Driftless Midwest. He has been drifting ever since. He holds degrees in creative writing from Knox College, the University of Arizona, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is the Acquisitions and developmental Editor for SFWP, an Associate Poetry Editor for the Fairy Tale Review, and the Executive Director of the nonprofit editing studio 1-Week Critique (1WC). He works as a private ghostwriter and editor, focusing on real estate memoir and medical narratives, with a special interest in transnational diasporas and the permeabilities and permutations of borders.
