Aina Hunter has written for some of the most fearless alt weeklies and zines in the world including The Village Voice, Mother Jones, Cleveland Scene, Off Our Backs, On Our Backs, Kinetic Travel and Ache. She’s also reported for Essence, Glamour, Philadelphia Wkly and Black Enterprise. Once a collector of degrees and awards (Columbia, UC Berkeley, NABJ, NYABJ, Livingston etc), today she is a writer of books, a grower of mugwort and a boiler of seitan. She lives with her wife and dogs in a haunted stone house in a western Massachusetts hill town.
